Playlist: Favourites of 2010 →
Here’s a hastily cobbled together Spotify playlist of my favourite tunes from this year. (Note: favourites, not necessarily what I think have been the best musically)
It’s by no means comprehensive, especially given that some top albums like Cosmogramma and Crooks and Lovers aren’t on Spotify, but it at least gives a flavour of what I’ve been digging this year.

Bangs and Works Vol 1
Planet Mu have recently put out an interesting compilation of footwork, a genre peculiar to Chicago which has made itself known across the wider world this year, in no small part thanks to Mike Paradinas who has thrown his weight behind giving it more exposure.

Koyxen meets Sensational
The Bleep newsletter floated into my inbox today, bringing with it the weekly undulation between unbridled excitement and fear. Excitement for what musical treasures lay within; fear for the havoc my wallet could be about to encounter.

Just discovered this Maryland hip hop outfit via the ever reliable Put Me On It. Beats like silk and hurting, soulful lyrics with a lingering flow.
